ZOOM Journey Groups
FAQ

Due to the CoVid-19 quarantine - Mildred Baptist Church is utilizing technology to keep you connected to your small group.

What is a Zoom Journey Group?

Zoom Journey Groups is a revolutionary way for us to stay connected through this time of crisis. We use Zoom Video Conferencing to gather digitally in small groups to - connect with each other, share prayer requests, encourage one another, and learn more about the Bible.  We call our groups - JOURNEY GROUPS - because we're all on a journey, trying to figure out how to navigate this world with God's help. There are no expert Christians,  just ordinary people trying to do extraordinary things to make a difference in this world.

What is Zoom Video Conferencing?

Zoom is an easy-to-use video communications tool that allows people to virtually meet with video and audio conferencing. After registering for Zoom, you will receive a link to join your host's group. You may join using your mobile phone, tablet, or computer. Additional tutorials on how to use Zoom.

What makes Zoom Church unique?

Zoom Journey Group is unique because it incorporates the element of community to a church experience. Although nothing can replace the personal experiencing of attending church. This is a great starting point. Unlike joining a large group in person, Zoom Journey Group is all about gathering digitally in small groups. It encourages us to grow closer to one another and take part in koinonia (Fellowship) during this time while growing closer to God.

Can I invite others to my group?

Yes! We encourage you to invite your friends, co-workers, and family to take part in your Mildred Baptist Church - ZOOM Journey Group. We've already heard several incredible stories of families gathering for a small group together despite being miles apart.

What are the values of Mildred Baptist Church?

Our vision is simply this, to influence the hearts of people towards greater connection with God, using the generous resource of God's love in the context of God's family, the local church. Sharing the hope we find in Jesus with one another and ultimately, the WORLD!

Can I try another Zoom Journey group, or do I have to stay in just one?

This is a great question. We encourage you to "sit in" on as many groups as you like. Each facilitator has a different style and unique way of presenting material and leading their respective groups. The main thing is that you feel connected and find your group meaningful.
